The Deputy Director – Urban Planning will be appointed on a contract basis under PPS-8 by the Ministry of Climate Change (MOCC). The role supports planning and implementation of urban development and climate-resilient initiatives in Islamabad, working closely with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of urban planning and climate-resilient projects

Prepare urban development plans, reports, and technical documents

Coordinate with government departments, consultants, and stakeholders

Assist in monitoring project timelines, outputs, and compliance
-
Contribute to policy inputs related to sustainable urban development

Support data collection, GIS/urban analysis, and reporting

Assist in procurement, documentation, and progress reporting
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, Architecture, Environmental Planning, or related field
-
Minimum 5+ years relevant professional experience

Experience in government or development sector projects preferred

Knowledge of urban planning tools, GIS, and reporting frameworks

Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills
